What’s Your Excuse?

Excuses are like assholes, everyone’s got one. Not exactly fitting for a Hallmark card, but it does make a point. There’s always a reason to put something off until tomorrow. But like Apollo told Rocky, “There is no tomorrow.” So what’s your excuse for not exercising, or eating better, or doing the things you really want to do but feel like you don’t have the time or energy to do them?

It doesn’t matter what the task is, just start doing it. Even if it’s just for five minutes. You just have to start. Starting is the hardest part. But if you just try and do five minutes of whatever it is you’ve been putting off, you’ll find it wasn’t as hard as you thought.

You might say that you don’t have the time. That’s bullshit. Everyone has five minutes to spare. If you have enough time to watch Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,  you certainly have enough time to exercise, or make a real dinner with real food, explore new interests, or work on some personal project. There’s always time in the day. No one is that busy. And if you truly feel that you are that busy there’s either an issue with time management, or you need to start saying NO to people. It’s as simple as that.
